Our Manifesto

We are those who believe that culture is a concrete tool for growth, awareness and regeneration. A practice of citizenship before it is an activity.

living places | shared knowledge | active communities

Luogarìa is born from an idea:

territories are not just geographical spaces. They are living places, crossed by memories, relationships, heritage, knowledge and possibilities.

Every community holds visible stories and stories left at the margins. Every town, every landscape, every library, every public space can become a starting point for building knowledge, participation and future.

We are those who believe that culture is a concrete tool for growth, awareness and regeneration. A practice of citizenship before it is an activity.

We believe in reading, in books, in libraries and in the spreading of knowledge. We believe in research, training and lifelong education as ways of bringing people closer to places and places closer to people.

Enhancing a territory does not mean narrating it. It means understanding it, listening to it, activating it. Recognising its tangible and intangible heritage. Bringing out its diffuse energies. Building opportunities for encounter among those who keep a square, a library, a classroom, a community alive.

Luogarìa was born in Sannio, from a concrete and recognisable root. But it does not close itself in the local: it looks at territories as open spaces, able to connect with wider national and international networks

We work to make knowledge accessible and shared, with particular attention to the most fragile or marginal contexts and to the civic participation of young people.
